The Return of the Mad Woman Blogger on Blogspot

It's funny how my name Gail is synonymous to the title The Mad Woman Blogger. Just because I'm online the whole day doesn't mean I'm blogging all the time, you know. But I think I do blog all the time. What am I supposed to do? Talk to myself in the mirror? So what if I like publishing my thoughts online? Does that make me an attention whore? I don't know about that but I just love to write that's all.

So the blogspot is back! Ta-da! I figured since my parents are away and some of my relatives are bloggers themselves, it'll be a good idea to resurrect the public blog so you know, we can comment on each other's posts. Haha! I know, I have really a fun aunt and uncles who are bloggers themselves and since my parents are away too, they'll probably read this blog.

So yehhh, if you took me off your link lists, please put me back. :)

Anyway, this was Saturday night with my best people... my high school friends: Trinoma, Timog for more food and drinks, and then Starbucks. We all coincidentally wore BROWN that night. HOW WEIRD!

It was fun!

Winston and Mark's Birthday Party

It was Winston and Mark's joint birthday party celebration yesterday. It was an overnight thing so my Abu Dhabi high school friends and I slept over at Winston's place in Paranaque. It was so much fun. I can't believe that it has been a good year for us because we keep on having these awesome get-togethers. We're closer than ever! I love my brothers and sisters. Hehe!

We hardly slept because of too much laughing and reminiscing about our high school life. Raiza and Jern showed up! We hardly see them. PJ and Paolo too! Kulang nalang si Anna plus Daivy and Mac who are in the States. Ron din pala!

Sunday afternoon, Dar and Cara stayed at my place for a couple of hours after we had lunch near AKIC. After a long time I tried one of Becky's cakes-- Swiss Chocolate Cake. I don't like the crunchy stuff inside but it's pretty good. Oh, and Dar and Cara are in love with Ala. HAHA! :)

Highlights:
- Laughing so loud with Raiza and Jane. Na-miss ko 'to!
- Mind games ulit. Panalo.
- Walking to Burger Machine at 2AM in the morning for a Bulilit Burger and a can of root beer.
- Sexy poses. HAHAHA!!!
- Raiza twisting her ankle because she got scared of a dog.
- Leigh being a director for posing for the camera(s) haha!!!
- Raiza, Jane, and me brushing our teeth with just a jug of water for us three (!!!)
- Raiza, Jane, and me whispering and snickering in the room when we were supposed to be asleep. When Omar and Mabelle woke up and left the room we got scared because we thought they got angry. Moved to the living room downstairs and joined the guys and Leigh.

There are so much more but like they say in the military: What you see, what you hear, when you leave you leave it all here.

There are no words to describe how much I love my friends.

Here are pictures (you know the drill, click on a photo for larger view):

Beware of the Holiday Rush

I just got home from the nearby mall. OHMYDEARNESS! SAVE YOURSELVES! Don't go to the malls! This evening there were a lot of people! They seem to have a lot of money to spend for the holidays especially the kids! The toy section and baby stuff section were crowded too. Horrible, horrible! I'd avoid the mall for a couple of days at least after the Holidays are over because it's really stressful. Then again, shopping IS shopping.

It's amazing how money seems to flow into the wallet easily during the Holidays. Or may Alej is right. The wallet he gave me is good luck and my old one was jinxed. Papa has been generous lately and not just once but twice! (parang Bear Brand lang!):D Whee! And my boss has been generous too-- granting me a 13th month pay. From my part time job here at home, it's really generous of him to pay me that much. Awesome! So of course when we hit the mall or bazaars, I can't resist from buying stuff. Last week when I met with my Abu Dhabi high school friends at SM MOA, Jane and I splurged on a bag at Terranova because it was on sale (we bought different kinds, of course). It's funny how we were staring at the bags we liked and after contemplating for a good five minutes we set the bags of choice on the counter and let the cashier punch in the codes. HAYAYAY. I shall consider it a Christmas gift for myself. Of course, that AND the new pair of wedges, tweed pants, blouses, newsboy hat, and celphone pouch. Kill me now, I am a slave of petty consumerism.

The get-together with high school classmates was really fun. AS IN REALLY FUN. We see each other a few times a year and the last get-together we had was the most fun.

From my phone:

Photo knicked from Jane. Thanks, dear!

Kirby and Josh joined us too. Also Cara, Darwin's girlfriend and Mark's little brother (he's not so little anymore hehe).

Lastly, look what greeted me when I opened my mail!!!! :D:D:D

A pro account for my Flickr! YEYYY! Thanks, TITO JON! and Tito LYNN Me ♥s YOU guys!!! :)

Speaking of thoughtfulness, these cupcakes are from Sam and Reggie:

Receiving cookies or any baked goodies for Christmas is one of the most thoughtful gestures ever. That's why I wanted to bake brownies this year and give it away but I'm not sure that's going to happen.

These are frosted cupcakes from Sam and Reggie. As a thank you note, I texted Sam and Reggie by saying:

"Thanks for reminding me that Christmas isn't just about the material gifts received. It's also about the food!"

I was joking, of course. I mean, it's half-meant because who could say no to good food especially baked goodies for a sweet tooth like me? But the best part of receiving is the thought that comes with each gift. It doesn't have to be extravagant. As long as the person who receives is happy, then that should be enough. In my case, I was happy because the box of mini cupcakes I received last Saturday was my first Christmas gift for this year. :)

Oh, cupcakes and 13th month pay (even if I'm just partime) made my day. That's more shopping money (for gifts and for self) for me!

I'm tired. I'm going to wrap my father's Christmas gifts to his friends and then I'm hitting the sack. Good night folks! Have a happy Christmas. :)

rainy days make me nostalgic

i always wish that i could crawl back to good old high school days. free times were spent jamming with the boys as they experimented on the guitar. they would keep playing "More Than Words", that oldie song that newly self-proclaimed guitarists liked playing. i miss the laugh trips with the girls: anna, jane, jern, raiza, leigh, daivy, roseline, and everybody else. the way jern and jane would laugh the way i do- silent but really deadly. i miss hearing daivy's infectuous laughter that would make you laugh as hysterical as she does once you hear it. i miss raiza and her girly tendencies to be uber feminine. i miss leigh and her dancing, the way she would just stand up and dance to the music we girls play every break time. i miss anna and her jokes... our serious conversations on hopes and dreams.

i miss the boys, how they would annoy the hell out of us girls but we'd love them just as childish as they were. i miss the hanging out on friday nights. the Baskin Robbins trip... the Burger King dinners... the Corniche (seaside) walks and bonding. the "truth or dare" we always played. it was really fun!

almost all of us are back home for college now but we rarely see each other because we're scattered all over. we go to different schools and we live in different parts of the metro. it sucks because i miss them terribly :'(

i will never ever forget the day when they threw me a surprise farewell party a few days before i left. all my friends and i were supposed to meet up at church in the afternoon then go to jane's place afterwards. but they cancelled out on me until jane, jern, and i were the only ones left. they kept delaying the time when we were supposed to go to jane's place! when we got there, the lights were off and WHAM! everyone behind the couch yelled "SURPRISSSSEEEE!!!!" and i was so shocked that i nearly peed my pants! haha! it was hilarious! then daivy leapt our from the couch and said, "damn! my video cam!!!" because she wasn't able to bring it. then in a half-squeaky voice supressing tears... i said "WHAAA????"! we spent the rest of the night feasting on donuts, pizza, and fried chicken. then during the night we llaid down on the carpeted floor and sound tripped... being senti and all. i will never forget that. i felt so special!

the best times of my life, i spent with these people:

jern, me, sherwin, paolo, winston, jane, and mark during our Enchanted Kingdom trip this year.

jane, jern, and me.

mark and i.

this is my favorite picture. it captured the real side of gail, jern, and jane! hahaha!

pictures were taken at Blue Onion at Eastwood when we went out one night. the dancing... it was fun! :)

i'm going to arrange a small get together one of these days before some of them go back to sunny side Emirates for Christmas.

i learned that the hardest thing in life is to miss someone so much.

i miss Daivy more than ever now. i want her to be a text message away or a phone call away like it was in high school. she lived a few blocks away from our flat and one summer we spent it together every single day. we had so much fun calling radio stations requesting songs, flipping over magazines, or just listening to music. my mom would supply her daily goodies (cookies, brownies, and cakes) into the room and we'd have a great time hanging out.

when we were bored during weekends, i'd walk over to her building and we'd go around Hamdan center or straight to the beach to hang out some more. it was so much fun living like that. whenever i needed someone to talk to, i could talk to daivy because she was always within reach. i could spill my heart out to her and she'd listen and at the same time i could be my goofiest, shallowest around her without being judged. we'd also go around department stores and window shop. our families became close too because we were always together after that summer.

with dei, i could be myself and be comfortable while i'm at it. i miss you dei!

man, i miss dei! i want to talk to her and hang out with her again especially now that i have so many things to say to her. i miss our bonding moments and our silly laugh trips. good memories. daivy was one of the best things that happened to me while i lived in the sunny side Emirates.

now she's in California and she's so far away. when she goes through tough times, i want to hug her and tell her that she's not alone. that she's really special. but i can't. email is all i have but words aren't enough to comfort a friend. dei is wise beyond her years, i tell you. she's the most responsible daughter i've ever met! she takes care of her siblings and juggle a whole lot more! that's why i think she should be called Super Daivy! hehe!

i'll see her soon. i hope so because i really miss Daivy. i just emailed her a long email which i haven't done for a long time.

hay. i hate missing people. it hurts too much.
